There are 7 Written exams you need to take in order to complete the training for your Private Pilots Licence.

They are as follows.

Air Law and Operational Procedures
Meteorology
Navigation and Radio Aids
Aircraft General and Principles of Flight
Flight Performance and Planning
Human Performance and Limitations
Radiotelephony Written and Oral

You can take the exams in-house when you are ready.

 

Most people buy the books that are required from us, or from an aviation specialist like Transair or Pooleys and read the required books and learn from the books at their own pace. However if you find doing work this way too difficult, or you need further explanations to get going, then Chris will give you personal tuition and explain everything to you until you have a thorough grasp of the subject. It is not uncommon for marks in the high 90's when you learn this way. Recently a student could only reach 70% studying on his own, and after only one short session with Chris who explained in simple terms the problem areas the student achieved a pass mark of 95%.
